These sugar short bread cookies give holiday vibes with alllll the sweetness coming from maple syrup! Cut into cute shapes and topped with festive sprinkles. Make them and maybe you’ll get every gift on your list 😉
SERVING: 14 cookies
THE RECIPE:
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
First, melt coconut oil (or butter) and set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, add flour, egg, maple syrup, choice of oil (or butter), vanilla extract, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
Mix until all the ingredients are well-combined.
Sprinkle some flour onto a flat surface (to prevent sticking!) and place your dough on top. Add a touch more flour into the top of the dough and press down to flatten.
Then, use a rolling pin to make sure the dough is flat and even.
Use your cookie cutters and cut as many cookies as your heart desires!
Place onto a baking sheet and top with sprinkles.
Put the cookies into the oven for 8-10 minutes, until edges are slightly brown. Let cool for 5-10 minutes then enjoy!
