The BEST Homemade Pesto Recipe

If you know me, you know my love for pesto runs veryyyy deep. Here is the best pesto recipe I’ve been making for 6+ years and it never gets old💚 it’s good to meal prep for the week, to enjoy of course with pasta- but also any dish like chicken, rice bowl, salads. The only other ingredient I sometimes add is avocado for healthy fats and to make it super creamy! You gotta try it!!

  • Blender

Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cups fresh basil, packed
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup parsley, packed
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/3 cup water
  • Dash of salt

Instructions
 

  • De-stem and wash fresh basil.
  • Place all your ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend till smooth (or desired texture).
  • Store in an airtight jar to have for any meal or snack for the rest of the week! xx
